Get outside and kick-off the month of May with three outdoor activities presented by OC Parks.
Families and their furry friends can enjoy a day at Carbon Canyon Regional Park during “Love ‘Em and Leash ‘Em” from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event will feature a fun-filled day geared toward your four-legged, furry friend with dog-specific vendors, information about microchipping & vaccinations, rescue dogs for potential adoption and more! Come learn about bears and have fun at the OC Zoo! From 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., family and friends are invited to gather for a day of bear-themed activities, zookeeper chats and more during Bear Awareness Day. The event will also feature opportunities to learn about bear conservation and research, how to “bear proof” camping sites, and what to do if you encounter a bear. Activities are free with paid zoo admission of $2 per person; ages 2 & under are free.
Explore the rich history of Orange County’s Rancho and Native American cultures during the 23rd Annual “Rancho Days Fiesta” from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Guests are invited to travel back in time at Heritage Hill Historical Park with activities, music, dance and more in a family-friendly atmosphere.
